3nity had the pleasure of hosting a talk entitled “Designing for Social Good–How design supports social innovation in a culturally-grounded way” by Dr Joyce Yee, a present professor of Design and Social Innovation at the School of Design, Nothumbria University, UK. She also co-founded DESIAP(Designing Social Innovation in Asia-Pacific network), a peer learning network for social innovation practitioners using design.

During the talk, Dr Joyce shared about using design (mindset, approaches, processes, methods) to co-create new ideas to meet social goals. She also later on shared with us a little about DESIAP’s network overview, activities they do & their partners around the world. Lastly, she also shared some inspiring examples of Designing social innovation.
