DunHuang Contemporary Art Museum

Dunhuang is home to the Mogao Caves, a remarkable complex of 492 grottoes filled with artifacts that embody historical and cultural significance. The Dunhuang logo is inspired by several elements: the cave openings of Mogao Caves (莫高窟) and the alcoves for statuettes (龛). Dunhuang's essence infused into the logomark is captured by four elements: earth (the formation of the desert), water (the oasis of life), wind (the arid formation of landscapes), and light (the sun). As such, it is not merely a window but a portal that connects the past with the present, preserving heritage while infusing ancient spirit into contemporary arts.
